Two years after the events of the Meteorfall, the citizens of Gaia, and in particular those of Edge, the city that was once Midgar, are struggling to rebuild their lives. At the heart of the struggle is Reeve Tuesti.
With Jenova War hero Reeve Tuesti at its helm, our organisation is dedicated to aiding the healing process of the planet, as well as protecting it from any who attempt further harm.
Quoted by WRO MemberReeve has founded the World Regenesis Organisation in response to the planet's actions against the humans who sought to injure it for their own means. Reeve knows that much, if not all, of the problems humanity has faced has been the planet attempting to keep itself from harm. Realising the planet must be protected, least more devistating events will occur, Reeve's goals for the WRO are to do just that: shield the planet from ill-treatment.
Reeve's personal goal is to make up for the damage and loss he's caused both the planet and the people. As the architect of Midgar and the Mako Reactors, Reeve feels responsible the state of the world. For him, creating an organisation like the WRO isn't just a neccessity for the planet and humanity, but also a necessary process in redeeming himself. Beyond that, Reeve has a genuine concern for the people, and hopes that his efforts will be of some help to everyone affected by the events of the last three years.
Organisation
The WRO is comprised of both soldiers and scientists, including Shalua Rui, as well as a few well-known renegades -- namely Yuffie Kisaragi, Cid Highwind, and of course Reeve's goofier half, Cait Sith.
Shalua Rui ∫ A genius in her field, Shalua is known to be a brilliant scientist and prosthetics specialist. After fighting against Shinra prior to Meteorfall, Shalua naturally joins the organisation to help undo the damage they caused. Apparently, it was Shalua who designed Barret's gunarm.
Yuffie Kisaragi ∫ Materia connoisseur and resident reformed theif, Yuffie has grown quite a lot since her nimble-fingered days prior to Meteorfall. She's commissioned by Reeve as an espionage officer for the organisation, and finds herself mostly gathering intelligence for the group.
Cid Highwind ∫ With a mouth as flagrant as ever, Cid has landed himself a pretty darn good job as head of the airship division. Cid pilots
an airship named after his beloved personal servant, Shera. Cid is indebted to Reeve for personally funding the aircraft and all technology and resources within it.
